Thing Of The Past
Hello Everyone:
It's Sunday evening and time to unwind with a few thoughts. Thanksgiving Day came and went, making me wish for a get together with other people. Sis and BIL don't do Thanksgiving Day, something about secular and religious holiday issues that never made sense to me. Regardless, this week's lunch was Thanksgiving-themed complete with pumpkin pie but no whipped cream. Whipped cream and pumpkin pie go together like peanut butter and jelly. Most of the oxygen in their dining room was taken up by my oldest nephew arguing with the BIL over all things COVID. My hometown just announced temporary new restrictions, intended to reduce the transmission rate. Frankly, the latest restrictions make no sense at all. For example, outdoor fitness classes must operate at half their capacity but outdoor fitness areas are off limits. One temporary restriction I was hoping to use my advantage is single household private gatherings only. I thought I could use that as an excuse to sleep in but it's not going to be an issue since I go over there during the day. I don't really have to make up a reason not to over, just tell them. The truth is that it breaks up my day a little and gives me an excuse to get out of the house. At least there's plenty of food and liquour. Anyway, the temporary restrictions go into effect tomorrow. Honestly, I'm over the whole thing but I put up with it because I'm not fond of getting called out by the mask police. Hopefully soin this'll be a thing of the past.
