Something To Do
Hello Everyone:
Today I had something to do, buy groceries and stop at the pharmacy. Sometimes those everyday errands help break up the slow pace of life in lockdown light. I really scored big at the pharmacy: I had the right combination of coupons and cashback to make a $38.00 receipt into a an $8.00 receipt. So happy about that and the fact I got what I came for. All good. The only downside was I hoped to go out today but by the time I finished putting away the groceries, getting dressed, and eating a quick lunch, it was after 2:00 pm and my phone needed its afternoon nap. I did end up blogging on a very fascinating article on what cities need from the new administration. The author of the article is a local councilmember. I plan to email him and tell him what I thought. Essentially, he made some of the same points I've been making for a while: greater expansion of broadband and more support services to people looking for work. Tomorrow I have my usual stuff to do as well start cleaning mum's room. My plan is start taking stuff down to the basement and try to dust a little. The room hasn't been properly cleaned in who know how long. Mum's caregivers used to do a little cleaning but nothing super serious. For the most part, the room doesn't a deep clean but the carpet could use a very good bath. There food and liquid stains from the oldest niece and nephew were children. Mums used to let them eat in her room and, kids being kids, made a mess. I'll have find out where I can rent a carpet cleaning vacuum and how much it is. Eventually the entire carpeted area is going to need a good cleaning but mum's room is the best place to start. Alright time for dinner.
