Cupcakes

Hello Everyone: It was a very productive afternoon. I managed to start a decent blog post, apply to a couple of jobs, and update my application to a third job I applied to some months ago. The jobs I applied to are about as different as night and day. One is working for an organization that service developmentally challanged adults and the other is a customer service job. I'm not particular about which I prefer. They're just bill paying type jobs. The third one is working for the local school district in their literacy program. Again, another bill paying job but one that may have career potential but one step at a time. All good. Let's see what happens next. Anyway,I decided I shouldn't really let Sis and the BIL bother me too much. I understand their concerns and I have mine. I think we're all adult enough to be able to work through whatever we need to work through without getting too heated. Besides, I'm not mum, who gave over all her agency to them because "they know better." Says who? I don't think they know any more or less than I do, except for legal and medical issues. Those are their professional expertise, which doesn't make them experts in my life. Alrigt I'm already giving them too much thought. On to happier things like my birthday this weekend. Honestly, I have no plans whatsoever to celebrate. Sis and BIL are being nice enough to order cupcakes arranged to look like a bouquet of flowers. They did that one year and I liked it. They'll probably go to the nearest supermarket bakery, which is fine because their birthday cakes have just the right amount of sugary frosting quality to it. My preference is the nicer bakery where you can go into sugar shock just by walking into the place. They have the best cupcakes and their other baked goods are insanely great. My other preference is cheesecake, especially chocolate, carrot, or pumpkin. There's a restaurant near my house that sells amazingly great cheesecake whole or by the slice. Their other menu items are pretty good but I do love their cheesecake. I'm making myself hungry, time for dinner.
