Looking Over My Shoulder

Hello Everyone: It's Sunday evening and it's time to blog. Life, for most part, has been quiet. I had my first online interview on Friday and, with the exception of a few minor glitches before the main event, it was okay. The questions were general workplace scenario questions like oral presentation, research, handling multiple deadlines, and so on. Despite the virtual format, I had a case of the butterflies. I did manage to put myself together but I did put a nice blouse and blazer over my track pants. Fortunately, I sat straight enough to cover the top of the pants. With that out of the way, I was free to go about the rest of my day. Yesterday was the usual get together with the family. For the most part, it was good but Sis and BIL are getting a little much with "helpful" unsolicited advice. I'm getting the impression that they would like me to follow in line with their plans in order to make their lives easier. I'm not here to do that. While I do appreciate everything they've, Sis and BIL don't get to dictate my life. What I really find troublesome is the fact that they don't show any willingness to work with me on issues like sharing the expenses. Even if I land a job, it still may not be enough to cover everything. I have to sort of hold my tongue for now because they are paying the bills but I don't for how much longer. Fortunately, we keep our distance so I don't have to deal with them on a regular basis. I know what I have to do, I don't need two people, or even one person, looking over my shoulder all the time.
