Hello Everyone:
Ugh, another hot and kind of humid day. Better to work out of my house with the fan going than spend time at the PLB Cafe patio. It’s supposed to stay hot at least through next week. Yes, it’s summer but really, this is a bit much. I can’t believe I got a little excited about opening a bank account today. It sounds silly but now that mum’s gone, I needed my own account. I opted for a credit union, more consumer education and less likely to engage in financial shenanigans. The one I chose is through my grad school. It’s really the only one I know but I’m happy. Now all I need is a steady income. That’s the most frustrating part but I have help. In the meantime I’ll have access to a trust fund mum set up years ago and made me the beneficiary. I have no idea how much is in there or if it really exists but it’s there. Actually, I do know that it exists because I know mum received the monthly statements. Slowly but surely I’m moving on with my life.
