Recovered From The Madness

Hello Everyone:

Finally have time to get back to my life now that impeachment madness is over. I don’t have to constantly post something, at least until the election cycle goes into overdrive after Labor Day. I got a last minute invitation to join my sister and her family for lunch at a mutual acquaintance’s house yesterday. The food was okay, there was a decadent chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, the other guests were total MAGAs. Good thing I didn’t admit to following CNN. At one point, one of the host complained how you can’t say anything about undocumented immigrants because they run everything. Right, Mrs. White Privileged Lady can clean her own house after she has her housekeeper deported.  Stupid woman doesn’t realize that her and her family’s over indulged lives are enabled by the very people that they claim run everything. Some people are just such idiots. Anyway, I got a very nice surprise from the Brit BF. Over the winter holiday he and his American bestie went shopping for their GFs in London. The American bestie dropped it by yesterday. I had no idea what to expect. It turned out to a very lovely perfume sample and a nice holiday bauble. The bauble is sitting on my desk and the sampler included a mini version of one of my favorite fragrances. I was very happy and mum was impressed. Speaking of mum, she gave me an update on the carer. The carer is allegedly starting Wednesday. I’ll believe it when I see her walk through the door. I still don’t trust her and plan to do more diligence than sis did. Sis said she called her references, I’m sure she did but I still want make sure this carer says who she says she is. Alright time for bed.
