It's Cold

Hello Everyone:

A very chill Monday for me.  I don't mind the cold, it is still winter, it's the wind that's making it feel colder.  It's cold enough for me to pull out a scarf and gloves.  Yes, it's that cold.  In other news, mum told that the carer is finally starting next week.  Apparently she's been sick and had to reschedule "dental surgery" for this week.  I'll bet she's having "dental surgery."  She's probably have a cavity filled and somehow needs a lot of recuperative time.  Sorry if I don't sound compassionate enough but right now I have no compassion to spare.  Mum managed to drain me of any sensitivity and compassion I have.  Anyway, one good thing today is I got a pair of running shoes I ordered.  I'm pretty happy about that because the pair I was using was on its last gasp.  I have to try them on to make sure they properly fit.  I bought them without thoroughly checking them out but I got a great deal.  Let's hope they work out.  That's one thing I don't really like about online shopping, you can't try something on before you buy it.  Sure, online retailers have good return and exchange policies but I have having to go through the effort of buying something first, then finding out it doesn't work, then having to go through all sorts of contortions for an exchange or return.  Okay, time to bundle up and head out into the cold to go home.
