Opportunity Comes Calling

Hello Everyone:

I'm slowly coming back to life.  I got a little more restful sleep last night and had a little more energy today.  Fortunately mum finally dialed down the drama, at least today.  I had a nice surprise in my inbox.  There was an email from the city about a job I applied to around the end of April.  They would like me to come in for an oral exam/interview next week.  Yay.  This is usually the first step in the process.  The downside, the interview is on a Sunday.  I know, who's ever heard of a job interview on a Sunday?  I guess that was the first available date they could squeeze me in.  The problem is the buses don't run as frequently on Sundays so I had to figure out a way to get there and back.  I asked mum about using the car service she uses to go to her appointments.  I felt a little strange about that one because I don't want to impose myself or drag her with me on a Sunday to sit in an over-air condition building for a few hours while I sit for this exam/interview.  Apparently she has no issues with any of it.  Besides, it's less expensive than Uber or a cab and I think it's fair given all the times I've gone with her and waited while she saw the doctor.  Problem solved.  I just wish the city would've scheduled me for a weekday, more convenient.  Regardless, I'm going for this job.
