Rainy Monday

Hello Everyone:

A rainy Monday and back to the grind. It was good getting out of the house for a few hours just to write. I was feeling a trapped at home. There's nothing wrong with wondering around house in sweats, no make up, and a hoodie. After a while it just gets old and you need to get dressed, which is what I did today.  Fully dressed as in hair, make up, wardrobe.  I was especially happy to crack open some new make up. Sounds silly but sometimes new make up can make a difference and in this case, it does.  I like the look. That aside, all is well today.  I finally finished this rather long post on urban voters and what the Republican Party can do to win them back. Essentially, fuel the engines that make our economic system work. In other words, they'll just keep repeating the same mistakes, expecting different results i.e. the definition of insanity.  Speaking of insane, the thanks to the Shut Down the BIL has been furloughed. This means he's working at home.  It had me wondering what he's been doing since the the Shut Down started. He had some use-it-or-lose-it vacation days so that covered the first couple of weeks but now it's a whole other story. My sister says they're alright for now but eventually he will need or want to go back to work. I'm thinking that if the Shut Down drags on, he may want to consider getting his state license to practice law and work for a private firm or do something else.  He's fairly resourceful guy so I'm not too worried but we'll see.
