New Year’s Laze

Hello Everyone:

Hope you all had a nice New Year’s Day.  Sis, the BIL, and nephews spent the afternoon at the Rose Bowl, watching their favorite team nearly lose. However, I indulged in one more day of sleeping and doing basically nothing. Mum had a couple of visitors in the afternoon, two ladies I call “the hens.”  Actually one is mum’s former colleague and the other is the wife of the rabbi of her synagogue. Both are nice ladies who bring food like the eggplant Parmesan. It’s not that neither mum or I don’t know how to cook, it’s just sometimes nice when someone else does it. The eggplant was good. Not too greasy or dry. Tomorrow it’s back to the same old same old. I have to go with mum to another appointment on Thursday afternoon so that’ll give me some time to get started on that profile the law enforcement employee suggested I post. It still sounds so incredibly crazy but nothing ventured nothing gained. As the Brit BF puts it “he [she] who dares, wins.” Some of you may be wondering what happened to the other blog. Nothing happened just a little down time. That’ll be back next week. Alright bedtime.
