Holiday Time

Hello Everyone:

The major Jewish holidays are upon us and I’m in duck and cover mode. I have to fobtobue store and buy some more chocolate chip ice cream. Haha, not really because that’s all I’ll eat. I had a couple of days respite from the chaos. Just long enough to get stuff done and bake a delicious looking applesauce cake. After creaming mixes of sugar and softened butter a few times, I came to the conclusion I need a badass mixer. My first choice is a heavy-duty stand mixer and bowl but there’s kind of no room to leave it out. That and this serious coffee making “center” need their own counters. I do have a more serious hand mixer in mind. Saturday was also pretty chill. I posted the latest and greatest from the Candidate Forum. It got delayed because of a minor technical glitch. The focus was that hyper-viral anonymous Op-Ed in Wednesday’s New York Times. I made my theory about who Anonymous is and why he or she did it. Let’s just say I’ve read one too many detective fiction books, not that it’s a bad thing. I believe it was the work of a few people.  Anyway, mum has a lunch guest tomorrow and expects me to hang out with her. She thinks we’ll hit it off but I doubt I have anything in common with someone mum’s age. Then to make matters worse, there’s a chance that sis and her family will drop by. Great, just what I don’t want. I’d rather be left alone and not have to fake civility. Right now, I’m not faking exhaustion.
