Hello Everyone:
Just got back from Yom Kippur evening services. Fortunately it went fairly quickly with no major disruption. The rabbi spoke about something or another I couldn’t follow. I spoke with mum to see if should might consider going to synagogue tomorrow, for at least part of the day. Her response, once the rabbi says no, it’s no. To go against it would be a sin. Whatever. I had one amusing moment before services began. A gentleman came over to the women’s section with a stack of prayer books. One accidentally slid out of his hand and onto the table. He uttered a curse word. Nice one, swearing in synagogue, on Yom Kippur. Just one more thing to atone for. As for me, the sinus headache already started. I still plan on following a modified fast for as long as I can. I just hope I’m not feeling lethargic during the day and I certainly hope I don’t vomit after the fast. Right now, I’m just vtired from a busy day. More tomorrow.
