Baby Time

Hello Everyone:

Finally recovered from the pre-Passover madness.  Essentially, after passing out in front of the television, I got plenty of sleep. Two days before, I was feeling the effects of pre-holiday exhaustion: sore muscles and tiredness. By the day before, I was falling asleep in front of the television and I could barely move. I thought about running a hot bath for myself but it was just too much effort. By Friday evening it was all I could do to eat, clean up, put on my nightshirt a and get ready for bed. I was rested enough to go to sis’s house for lunch, where I finally met the new baby. She’s all pink and squishy with that newborn smell.  I even got some baby time, the niece let me hold her. The new baby was dressed in some glittery too big frock with an impossibly large headband. That’s the thing about baby girls, their mums love to dress them up. I hope I get a little more baby time before she goes back  to Israel, with her parents. I thought I wouldn’t bond with her but I did. She’s a very easy baby, so far. There was another baby, a three-month old baby boy, I tried to match make. Hey, it’s never too early. The tequila helped make the adults more tolerable. The rest of Saturday and all day today I just spent chilling out. One more restful sleep and I’ll be ready for the week.
