A Warm Monday

Hello Everyone:

A nice, warm, sunny day for me. I had a nice run followed up by a great breakfast and good day. I posted the latest and greatest on blog. The topic for the day was cultural appropriation. A fascinating and complex subject that requires more than just a one off post. I spent my run thinking about a subject that’s been on my mind: Intersectional urbanism. I borrowed the term from intersectional feminism. It examines how politics, economics, sexuality, ethnicity, race, and so on affect feminism. The difference is I use it is an examination of how all of the above affect the way people use a city. It was inspired by a blog post. The question is how would use it?  Write a doctoral dissertation about it?    Honestly, it’s I’m still not thrilled about returning to academia for a number of reasons. Before I decide to do anything I should do some reading about the subject.  This what I do when I run, I spend my best thinking.  That’s what running is for, Thinking and getting fit.  Later, during dinner, mum and I were talking about the upcoming weekend. We’re supposed to go to a family thing but nothing’s confirmed. This is strange because sis and BIL are planning a party for the new baby and they haven’t confirmed the time and place. It’s not like they can call up the place 24 hours in advance. Complicating the matters are the niece’s in-laws who have another event that day. Whatever, I just told sis to text me with the details.
