My day has been going good. I sent off a birthday e-card to the Brit BF and posted the latest and greatest on the blog. I got an interesting (not in a good way) email from a local department store. It was an e-receipt in mum's name for a purchase of men's clothes. I immediately called mum and asked her if she made the purchase and she said no. First, she got angry that the receipt was sent to me but I explained why that was and she calmed down. Then, she asked me for the toll-free number. Mum told me that she lost her department store card and, apparently, someone found it and used it. Disturbing to say the least. Fortunately the department store put a hold on the account and she won't be responsible for the charges. The purchase was made this afternoon so I was able to let her know in time. She also needs to be more aware of things like this. I think age is really catching up to her. It's nowhere near the point where she needs full time help, she just needs to pay more attention. Besides, I can't trust an outsider enough to look after mum. She also needs to have a neurologist and audiologist take a look at her. Those concerns aside, I have my own, like dental coverage. I spoke with my insurance customer service, the other day, to ask them about coverage for a filling replacement. You know what the person told me? He said (it has to be a male) that the only way they'll cover a filling replacement is if there is a cavity. Of course there is a cavity, does anyone think that I'd let someone drill into my teeth because it's a day of the week that ends in a "y." Idiot. I do want to call them back about this and other things.
