Hello Everyone:

Another day, another post.  It was a good piece on Houston's golden opportunity to remake itself after the hurricane.  We'll see what happens next.  Happy to report no BF issues today.  The boys are off doing their things.  Thank goodness.  No one to annoy me.  I'm really glad that the Brit BF and I were able to sort out our relationship status.  I'm really happy that we decided to remain friends.  We really do get along well and, I think the romantic stuff was starting to complicate matters.  Now I truly feel like I can fully devote myself to the Sometime BF.  I'm still not entirely sure about him but he is making a real effort so I have to give him credit for that.  Mum was really grateful to for chopping up some vegetables this morning for soup.  The big Jewish holidays start next week (already) and she wanted to make a big pot of some sort of vegetable soup.  I obliged, it was no big deal for me but she was happy. It's gotten difficult for mum to do things like chop vegetables so I try to help when I can.  Part of me was thinking "you're grateful now but let's see what happens the next time."  I also thought, "let's see how much your gratitude translates into a pre-holiday run to Sephora and Kiehl's."  Admittedly it sounds like I have an ulterior motive for helping out but that's not true.  At least, it's not entirely true.  I have to get something out of all this besides a good feeling.  I can be so mercenary like that.  Sometimes I just need the stuff.  Anyway, I sort of consider it payment for services rendered. Now it's time for dinner.  More later
