Mom really got to me today with whole Passover thing. No matter how much I tell her not to make any effort and I can take care of things myself. Of course, mom doesn't listen, does what she wants, damn the consequences. Anyway, I just lost it. I was so angry that I thought about scrubbing the writing session today but decided against it. Better to channel the energy into something constructive. I did get a substantial amount of work done. The subject is the candidates's position on historic preservation. Historic preservation is not the hottest topic on the campaign trail. In fact it's not even in the mix but it does have impact on jobs and urban development. It'll interesting to see what the candidates's record is, including Donald Trump. I know, I know. Donald Trump and saving places don't go together but stranger things have happened during the campaign. Anyway, I got a little good news today. This art history professor in Texas asked me to send her a .pdf copy of my thesis. She contacted me over a month ago, about research she was doing on the Monuments Men in Japan. She came across a blog post from about two-ish years ago on the subject. It was an excerpt from my thesis. She tried to get a copy through Interlibrary Loan but it was taking too long. Of course I sent it to her and she promised the attribution and and copy of the article. Pretty cool. Off to bed now.
