Hello Everyone:
I had a little excitement today. The city human resources department sent me an email wanting to get together for a second date. Woo hoo. This is good news. I passed the background checks and time to meet the family. I have to dig out my power suit and see if it's still any good. This is definitely good news. Small, manageable goals. Maybe if I get this job, I might be able to afford to live in Park LaBrea on my own. Yeah me. Otherwise, it was a pretty chill day. I finished off a post from yesterday and posted a short blog on a contest to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border. Really. The organizer of the contest intended it to be a platform for rethinking immigration and border security. It's a real contest with a real jury and prize money. It'll be interesting to see what comes out of this. Mom got a little nutty with her phone. Her 1990s antique flip phone finally died this morning which meant she had to activate the smartphone she's had for some time. That's the easy part. The insanity inducing part is all of her complaining and whining about having to learn how to use. Fortunately, the minion is quite helpful. He doesn't have a phone yet but he knows the basics. One thing is for sure, I'm not teaching mom how to text or setting up an email account for her. Let someone else to that. This way she won't grab the phone from whoever.
