I'll Pass On Parties

Hello Everyone:

Happy Holidays to those of you celebrating tonight. Me, I'll pass on any and all festivities. Things like holidays and parties no appeal anymore. It's like "what's the point?"  I suppose just getting together with friends and family is reason enough but I'm not one for spending an evening eating, drinking, and making small talk. In essence, it's a skill I've never mastered. Now, if it was a real dance party, then I wouldn't have a problem. I like to dance and dancing the evening away is more appealing than chit chat. You get the idea that I get bored very quickly, don't you?  Well yes. This is why I loath family gatherings. After the requisite catching up, I'm ready to move onto something else. Speaking of family, the in-laws are arriving this weekend. They'll be visiting the Black Sheep brother and his family before landing here. This is in lieu of their annual spring visit because sis and the BIL are planning a family junket to Israel to spend Passover with the niece. I might go along only because there are some World Heritage Sites I want to visit. I'd rather do that than talk to relatives I barely know. Anyway, I'll take a pass on parties, for now. Of course, I could change my opinion under the right circumstances.
