Bits Of News

Hello Everyone:

I had an "oh crap" moment this morning when I saw a picture of my apartment building on the front page of the local newspaper. It was in conjunction with a story on lapses in firs inspections and my building was one the ones that hadn't had a fire inspection in a while. That was a little embarrassing to see first thin in the morning. Obviously, someone at the fire department is going to be held accountable for this lapse.

In other news, once again the National Trust mentioned a post I published yesterday on the future of Parker Center. It's like the fifth time they've tweeted a link to my blog (not like I'm keeping score) and the third time in a month. They like me, they really like me. The recognition is nice and it looks good on the resume.  After that, it's head down, back to work.  Speaking of work, I applied for a pet time job teaching English at a language school. I think it'll be a good fit as far as a stop-gap job is concerned. It's not too far away and I would have time to write. Sounds like a win-win situation for me.  We'll see what comes out this prospect.  Who knows, I finally may be able to start digging my what out of the financial hole I'm in and actually feel better about life.  Well, maybe just start digging my way out financial hole I'm in. For now, I'm just going finish my dinner, clean up, and crash for the night.
