Hello Everyone:
Someone turned up the heat too soon. It's really hot today and tomorrow doesn't look like much change. It's like the universe skipped spring and went straight into summer. I wish I was with the Brit BF or at least on the East Coast, where it's cooler. Mom is in her usual post Kaiser appointment good cheer (irony alert). She had a test done to try and figure out what was causing her phantom stomach menace. I don't know what the results are but I hope they're good. In the meantime, we know for sure that it wasn't dodgy luncheon meat, although I think it was sort of bacteria in the meat. My stomach ailment is gone baby gone. A momentary bit of unpleasantness. The cleaning service comes on Monday for the annual deep clean. Thank goodness. I don't even mind vacating the house for the day. I can just sit in the Business Center and do whatever I need to do. Two of the three grandchildren are on vacation already so mom has extra time on her hands to do her pre-Passover thing. I'm in duck and cover mode. Sis's in-laws are on their way and I plan to have as little to do with them as possible. Mom kind of feels obligated to invite them over for dinner but, like me, she's hoping they have other plans. Speaking of Passover, I can use the time on Monday to print out some out some Passover-friendly vegetarian recipes. Essentially, I'm not varying my menu too much except no grain products. Someone once suggested hemp and chia seeds, all acceptable. Perfect, I've been meaning to try them anyway. Anyway, it's still hot only less so.
