Now for the latest installment of home alone. Recap: my brainless twit of a sister and her equally clueless husband are going out of and have agreed to let their three underage children stay home alone. Mom is rightly insisting that there should be an adult, meaning her, in the house to keep an eye on things and in case anything should happen. In the meantime, my idiot niece has made arrangements to stay over with a friend for the weekend (fine) while my equally idiotic teenage nephew and the minion stay home alone, no adult supervision. Now, mom has tentatively arranged to sleep over; come home during the day to shower and do whatever she needs to do before going back over there. I say tentatively because my idiotic teenage nephew has approve of this arrangement. That's right you read that correctly, some snot-nosed pimply faced teenage boy has to give his approval for an adult to stay with him, my idiot niece, and the minion. I mean who died and left this brat in charge? The irresponsible brainless twat parents, oh they want to show that they trust their children's and they're cool modern parents. Really?! This is what modern parenting is all about? Letting common sense fly out the window? I don't have to tell you what the possible recprecussions are. Let's just say it could include the police and child protective services. Not that I would wish that nightmare on them or anyone else but someone has to think about that because apparently no one else is thinking. Mom doesn't want to say anything because Heaven forbid she alienates the irresponsible brainless twat parents. Fortunately, I'm not that polite. It's not that I don't think my teenage niece and nephew possess a modicum of maturity, it's just that this not a situation where mom and dad are going out for the evening and will be back. The irresponsible brainless twat parents also are same ones who are deluded enough to think they can leave their door unlocked all the time and because the live in a predominantly orthodox Jewish neighborhood, it's all good. Bollocks. The saga continues.
