Hello Everyone:
I spent today reminiscing a little about Leonard Nimoy. Unless, you've been so preoccupied with that whole "what color is the dress," you know that Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock) passed away at the age of 83. I remember watching "Star Trek" as a child. By then, it was already in syndication. Mr. Spock was the most intriguing character on the show. He would coolly and logically deal with whatever situation he and his colleagues on the Starship 'Enterprise' found themselves in. Most important, he made cool to be different. The most noticeable feature on Mr. Spock was his pointed ears. Those ears made stand apart from everyone. Instead of letting those ears define him, Mr. Spock used his keen mind and logic to find a niche for himself. In way, that something that all us should do, not let our weirdness define us. Spock was a hero because he was able to not let his pointy ears be who he was, Spock was so much more. In real life, Leonard Nimoy was far more than his iconic character. Leonard Nimoy was a director, photographer, husband, father, grandfather, friend. He was loved by all and loved all. He will be missed by of us weird kids who felt like we would never fit in anywhere. Thank you Leonard Nimoy for making it cool to be different.
