It's Wednesday morning and I'm starting the day. I got a employment notification yesterday that just made me laugh. The job is for a historian with the National Park Service, in Yosemite National Park. One of the requirements is wearing the Park Service uniform. What made me laugh is I applied for an opening with the same agency, month or so ago, for an office job in the Washington D.C headquarters. WhenI shared this with other, I joked that the position was collecting bear droppings in Yosemite, dusting the Statue of Liberty, vacuuming Mount Rushmore, et cetera. Now the joke is kind of on me. Still, it might worth checking out, considering the pay and benefits are good. I suppose having to wear a goofy ranger uniform everyday eliminates the need to decide what to wear every morning. It's all good. In the meantime, I finally made contact with this one place in Santa Monica regarding a writing job that seems suited for me. It is an online magazine that publishes articles on the humanities including: art, history, and urbanism. It's like I don't something about any of those subjects, right? It would be nice to work by the beach with all the pay and benefits. Or, at least, get paid to hangout in the PLB Business Center and work. I was chatting with a person I share a work space with and we concluded that the P lB Business Center is like working out of our house. Traditional office jobs are sooo boring. It's all good.
