Opening Day

Hello Everyone: Wednesday and Thursday were two very long and stressful days at work. Between the customers and closing solo, I was so stressed out that I needed some mindless activity just to wind down. To make matters worse, I have to work all day tomorrow. The upside is that we close early because of the Independence Day holiday and one of my favorite people is working with me. I haven't opened the day since training so I kind of forgot what to do. I usually close the registers and I think opening is just the reverse of closing them. Good thing I'll have an experienced opener to walk me through the process. Anyway, I have a couple of good job prospects, both in the arts, I want to apply for. One is with the city department of cultural affairs and the other is a two year museum educator training program through a local university. Both have their good points and would definitely be a step in the right direction for me. What I would really would live to do is just walk away from the department store but I can't because I don't have a back up plan. I suppose some people like working in sales and customer service, I'm just not one of them.
