Limited Human Interaction
Hello Everyone:
Still enjoying the two wonderfully work-free days I've been granted. It's been a good two days that allowed me to get plenty of rest and do whatever I feel like, which hasn't been all that much. Mostly I've been hanging around my house, in my pajamas, doing other things. The only time I've gone out is to run or buy groceries. Truth is, as much as working remotely drove me crazy, I kind of miss it. I miss being able to set my own schedule and not have to worry about a commute, not that I have a long commute to begin with. I also miss not having to deal with other people. I can find human interaction in my daily comings and goings but I really don't care too much to have it all the time. In particular, I don't like having someone looking over my shoulder all the time or people asking me ridiculous questions all the time. I can take human interaction in small doses but I really need to have my alone time. The constant flow of people at the department store is still something I'm getting re-adjusted to. My co-workers aren't the problem, it's customers. Honestly, most are pretty cool but we do have are divas. Same goes for management. Most are cool but there are the divas. I mostly try to avoid the divas because it just makes for a better work day. You know, keep my head down and work. I guess that's true anywhere but if I had my choice, I'd go back to working remote. Only now I'd spend time in the library so I can have some human interaction and unlimited WiFi without feeling obligated to buy something. Anyway, I'm getting hungry.
