An Opening

Hello Everyone: I had a nice few days. Work aside, it was one of those weekends where everything just seemed to go well, no drama. The best news of all was I booked an interview for tomorrow, before work, with a school I submitted a resume. So happy about that because It's some place I want to work because they encourage faculty to continue their education. The job is a teacher's assistant but, if things work out the way I hope they do, I could be in front of a room in no time. Right now, my primary focus is on landing the job. However, I can barely contain myself when I think about the prospect of finally getting out of my delartment job. It's not the worst job by any stretch of the imagination but it's not exactly a career job for me. I am grateful for my co-workers and the time to sort myself out but I need something that I can grow with. Even my supervisor told me that I'm over qualified for the department store. The only downside about the teaching job is that it's a longer commute but the positives really outweigh the negatives. The biggest positives are the stable hours and check. Oh sure, there are the parents but after dealing with diva customers, the parents are easy. The ample vacation time is also a nice benefit. All signs point to good.
