What Do To About A Carer

Hello Everyone:

Finally we're at the back end of Passover.  Just one more day and back to semi-normal.  Today I was made aware of a problem with the Senegalese carer.  Apparently she's having some personal issues that are affecting her work.  The result is she's developed an attitude, acting like she doesn't want to be here.  Mum also mentioned that she sometimes has to tip toe around her.  That's not a good situation and maybe it's her, not the chatty carer, that needs to be reassigned.  Honestly, I wish the chatty carer could work full time, she wants to but she has family obligations that prevent her from doing just that.  In fact both mum and I did offer her full time hours.  I have a feeling that if I spoke to Sis about it, she'd probably say, "make it work."  I would add that mum has to actively participate with the carers.  It doesn't work when mum is in one room and the carer is in another or uses a go-between.  I've had to constantly remind her about this but she seems to forget.  The Senegalese carer does have her points but it seems like sometimes you have to prod her to do something.  Mum and I will talk more about it before deciding what to do.
