Allergies
Hello Everyone:
Today was a pretty good one, allergies notwithstanding. The benefit of the shelter-in-place orders is less cars on the road and cleaner air. That said, that hasn't prevented the pollen and whatever else from blowing all over the place and messing with my allergies. The upside is it's not as severe as it has been in the past. I still have the headache but I don't feel as exhausted as I usually do. I think a good night's sleep and everything will good. In other news, I decided to take a more proactive approach with encouraging mum to interact with the carers. This has been a running argument with mum. I keep telling her that they are here for her not me and she needs to interact with them. It doesn't work if she's in a corner, checked out, and I'm telling them what do. It also doesn't work if she asks me to do everything all the time and the carers are just sitting there with little or nothing to do. I decided to nudge her a little more today. Mum wanted to re-arrange the refrigerator and wanted me to do it, never mind that the carer was standing right there and I was doing the dishes. I repeatedly told her she had to get in the kitchen and tell her where the food was supposed to go. She finally got the message. So in that sense, it was a pretty quiet day. I even enjoyed going to the dollar store only because there was hardly anyone there. Dinner time
