The Caregiver

Hello Everyone:

More time to write today. Mum’s care giver managed to get on my nerves today with her incessant chatter, interrupting my lunch, and socializing with a visitor.  She babbled on about her hospital stay, then interrupted me to fetch a can of tomato sauce from the cabinet, finally just before I left for the blogosphere, I caught her sitting with mum and visitor chatting away like an old friend. My understanding is she’s there to help mum out with tasks like dressing, bathing, and tidy up her room, not get in my way or socialize. Of course I mentioned it to mum and she told me to leave her alone. I’m not going to tell mum anything more about the matter because it’s pointless. She doesn’t care about my feelings anyway. Supposedly the caregiver is a temporary thing. I don’t think it’s going to be a peaceful arrangement because the caregiver fully inserted herself into the household. Instead of socializing, the caregiver should’ve been tidying up mum’s room and cleaned up the kitchen after they finish making meatballs. So far, in two days, all she’s done is take mum on a couple errands and for walks. Maybe it’s too soon to judge her and I’m not used to having another person around the house, everyday. I just don’t think I have to work around the caregiver, in my own house. The caregiver needs to just stay out of my way.
