Hello Everyone:
Yesterday, I was reminded by the internet, that it was a three-day weekend. Thank goodness for the internet. So I took a break from the blogging to get somethings done. Mum asked me to go to the pharmacy to find out the cost of prescription she was given by a dentist. Normally she goes to Kaiser and doesn’t have to pay. Since this wasn’t one of their pharmacies, she’d have to pay for it. The pharmacist gave me the price and, needless to say, it was a shock-nearly $900. Forget that. Anyway, I picked a couple of other necessary items and went home. I’m looking forward to reading the Sometime BF’s response to the idea of us setting relationship goals. I definitely think that’s important for a couple. I told him, from the beginning, that we would have to work to make this relationship reasonably successful and I would hold to his word. I think we need to start with small easily achievable goals. This way, neither one of us feels overwhelmed. I’m thinking easy stuff like actual date nights. It’s simple and easy to accomplish. The key thing is commit to something regular. Sure, there will be times when date night won’t happen, that’s fine. Another thing I have to work with him on is not letting me control the relationship. It’s not that I believe in some outdated notion of the man making all the decisions, it’s just that I want him to speak up more. I need to know what he has on his mind and what he wants to do. Gentle encouragement should help. Slowly we’ll work up to the big stuff like getting married. Then it’ll be time to set new goals.
