Marketable Skills

Hello Everyone:

I finally forced myself to get up earlier, get dressed, and put on some makeup. That felt good. I think I’m just about ready to come back from my “staycation.”  I forgot how nice l look in full makeup, especially after I do my hair. I have to wear makeup more often. That aside, I’ve been having a good couple of days. Mum is still in her raging hypochondria mode. Today, it was her teeth. Of course, she has a million reasons not to go. Whatever, I just tune it out. I had an interesting revelation while dusting my room today: I have no real work skills. Let me clarify, I have no real skills I am aware of other than showing up. Sounds pretty sad doesn’t it?  Okay, I do have good written communications skills so that might be worth something to someone. My preferred work environment is either creative or academic. I need to find someone, like a work coach, to help me find out what marketable skills I have.  I’m pretty bad at identifying the things that are good about me mostly because I’m totally oblivious to them. Also it’s a lack of self esteem thing. Who can I find to to act as an neutral observer and help me figure out what marketable skills I have, focus my ongoing job search and maybe be successful.
