Hello Everyone:
A typically quiet weekend for yours truly. Yesterday was so boring; aside from reading, eating, and sleeping, not much to do. I have to find something more to do on the weekend. At least it was family-free. I didn't have to get dressed and walk over to Chez Sis and pretend I'm having a good time. Even worse, they come here. The niece and her man-baby husband returned to Israel today. They have a mommy and daddy bought apartment waiting for them. How nice. Now the day-to-day reality of marriage starts to set in. I don't have any expectations for this union. Maybe that's good because that way if it succeeds, I'll be pleasantly surprised. The next big thing is my eldest nephew's high school graduation. After four spotty years, the school he attends saw fit to give him his diploma. If you talk to his parents, they'll tell you the school is letting graduate just to finally get rid him. They make him sound like public enemy number one. He isn't; he's just not that academically inclined nor is he much for following school rules. Who knows, maybe a year in Israel and university will change all that. It could happen or not. Predicting the future is not my thing. I was an academic late bloomer. I loved university and thrived in that environment. Come to think about it, maybe that's where I should focus my job search, in academic environments. That's where I seem to do best. I like that thought. Anyway, I'm hungry and it's time to eat. More later
