Expensive Holiday

Hello Everyone:

I'm tired from the day. It was a typical Thursday filled with chores and errands but it was a little tiresome. Right now, I just chilling in front of the television. Mom is already in her pre-Passover psycho mode. The holiday come a little early this, in a few weeks, and she's already feeling overwhelmed. I understand. The preparations are not for the faint of heart. At her age, it's far too difficult. I help is much as I can before I go into duck and cover mode. We have a cleaning crew coming on Tuesday for the annual deep clean so that'll help some. I told her to get in touch with my eldest nephew to help her out. She can be so stubborn. Eventually, it'll all come together. Me, I could care less about the holiday. For me, it's just a lot of extra work for a week. Correction, one miserable week. Yes, I hate Passover. I can't stand the chaos before the holiday, the mess during the holiday, and  I hate the clean up. I just prefer to avoid the whole overpriced thing. Yes, going grocery shopping for Passover is an expensive proposition. The food items are marked up because of the extra kashrut certification. Also, I think, some groceries deliberately mark up the price. I asked mom how it is, that with all the religious scholarly heads, how is it they can't figure out a way to make Passover a less costly affair for people.  Shaking their collective bony fingers doesn't help. It so ridiculous. Last year was great because mom was gone and I did what I wanted to do. Anyway time for bed.
