A Good Call

Hello Everyone:

I had a good conversation with the HR recruiter today.  She gave me more information about the job and I told her a little about myself. After the call, I got a good feeling about it. Mostly, I'd be working with their telecommunications division, writing reports about where to build and where not build. A lot of doing due dilligence. Definitely within my depth level. The recruiter told me something rather extraordinary.  We were talking my blog when she said that my blog was my first post-school job. That blew me away because I've never thought of it as a job, rather as something enjoyable, an escape if you will. A job, not really. The word job sounds like a burden. I like to think of work (paying work) as something worth getting up in the morning for.  A job sounds so mundane. Anyway, the next step would be a Skype interview. The company headquarters is in Massachusetts and I'd be working out of the Long Beach office. Most of the employees work remotely. Great I can work at home, in my pajamas. Best of all, I wouldn't have to deal with office politics or nonsense like Taco Tuesday. The pay would meet my needs and they offer a great benefits package. Anyway, I did email the Brit BF to share this update. He sounded terse in his email. Whatever. I'm not going to read too much into it. He's doing well so that's good. The only downside of the day was this nagging headache. I over medicated mysel, like any self-respecting urbanite. Now I need some sleep
