The Charm Offensive

Hello Everyone:

I had pretty good day with in the blogosphere. I got through most of a post on Havana's hidden architectural treasures. I cannot wait to visit the city. It's a virtual museum of design history. Unfortunately, the buildings are bad need of maintenance. Constant maintenance. The other cool thing is that they've been repurposed by the inhabitants. Anyway, tomorrow is my audition at the school. I'm not nervous. I already got the insider brief from the person who connected me with the school. It's a second grade class of boys with issues. My strategy is the charm offensive. Make sure I tune on the charm so I get the teacher and students to like me on their own volition. Mom suggested bribery-stickers or sweets. Both ideas are not doable. I prefer a kind word to a piece of candy. For students not for me. I think it'll be good.  I'll just be myself but less cranky. After I'm done, I'll just go home and make dinner for myself. It would be nice to have some income coming in. I can realistically start saving up for a new laptop and afford to get my hair done.  It's speculation but in a fun sort of way. Mom still insisting that NY Aunt sent me a birthday and check. Sure, whatever she says. I'll believe it when I see it.
