Hello Everyone:
Thursday evening and time to chill. Chilling means watching The Night Manager, a mini-series featuring Tom Hiddleston not prancing around in a Loki costume. He's handsome and charming, in an Oxbridge sort of way. My NY Aunt's card still hasn't arrived and I'm not expecting it. Pretty disappointing but I'm already used to being disappointed by people. That's just the way my life is. Anyway, not to sound like a complete sad case, my day has being going pretty status quo. Laundry and chores, the library to pick up a couple of DVDs and update some apps on my phone and tablet. Pretty boring if you ask me but until something better comes long, chores and laundry it is. I applied for an associate historian job at a private preservation firm. This was an opportunity u found in my inbox, courtesy of USC. It's a good opportunity for me. The firm actually has three different openings and one of them was for an associate historian position. Something I feel confident about. I'm not one to waste my time, or anyone else's, trying to do a job I'm clearly not suited for. An associate position is good place to start. I like their pragmatic approach to preservation, compatible with my approach. How can a resource be used to the best and highest use? We'll see what comes out of it.
