Hello Everyone:
Mom is back home. The hospital discharged her early this afternoon. Sis drove her home, where she proceeded to crash (sort of literally) on the sofa. Mom looks like she went ten rounds in a boxing match. A friend of hers came over for a while and brought a couple of cups of vanilla pudding. That was nice if her. Mom seemed to perk up afterwards. At last check, she was sitting in a chair. I say give mom a day or two and she'll be completely back to normal. Now for the fun part, looking after her. This should be a pile of fun. Then there's all the legal, medical, and insurance issues to deal with. Mom mentioned she's going let the BIL help her sort out the legal matters. He is an attorney so he knows a thing or two. I don't think mom is going to sue the person who hit her but she or her medical insurance will or can submit a claim. All too mind boggling for me. Fortunately, the person driving the car stopped to find out what happened and there were witnesses. If it means anything, mom was conveniently hit across the street from a fire station. All anyone had to do was knock on the front door instead of dialing 911. In other news, the Brit BF is done with Santa's helper duties and has some downtime. Good, we can get back to our Skype dates and more frequent messages. He always finds a way to make me smile during the day. His default setting is humour. Not a bad default setting to have. It keeps us from taking things way too seriously. Nice. So for now all is well.
