Packing A Bag

Hello Everyone:

I started packing my bag today. Of course mom has to have her say on how I should pack. She even offered to pack for me. No thank you. I'm quite capable of doing that myself. Mom's been after me to borrow a suitcase from sis. It's a little bigger than the one I'm planning on using but I am determined to use my own. The Brit BF and I arranged to a meeting place in the arrival lounge. I hope it doesn't turn into a scene out of one of those romantic comedies that involve a lot of sloppy hugs and kisses. I just told him to wave or do something to get my attention. In the meantime, I updated my iPad operating system and apps to the latest versions. I simply went over to the Apple Store, connected to their WiFi, and did what I needed to do. I still have to register with the American Embassy in London and print out my boarding pass but those will get done. I also have laundry and a little grocery shopping to do. I just wish mom wasn't so anxious about this trip. I'm trying not be anxious and she's not helping matters. She so much as told me that she'd prefer I not go but arrangements have been made. There's no backing out. Truth is I want to go and if I had my way, I'd stay there. It sounds foolish because I have no means to support myself in the United Kingdom but at this point I'm looking for any permenant escape. For now, I'll have a two-week "honeymoon" and I plan to enjoy it.
