Serious

Hello Everyone:

A good day in the blogosphere for me. It's Tuesday so that means Blogger Candidate Forum and today it was Senator Ted Cruz's turn. Without tipping my hand about who I'm supporting, I will say that this weekly series has been very instructive, so far. Learning about the candidates and studying the analysis has been useful in helping my decision. Of course, I won't make my final decision until I'm standing in the voting booth. I take the presidential election seriously because it is the highest office in land and the person sitting Oval Office should be someone who will take the task of being President seriously. I don't expect that person to be an angel but I do expect whoever he or she is able to make policies that is in the best interests of all Americans, not the highest bidder or the loudest voice. I expect that person to uphold and defend the Constitution. This person must be able to run the country with justice, wisdom, and compassion for all. It sounds like I'm expecting the world but the office of the presidency comes with high expectations and the person sitting in the big chair should be ready to assume all the responsibilities. Mom says it doesn't matter what a candidate says during the primaries, especially if they've never held public office but I say wrong. What a person, in the public eyes says does matter. So, yes, I do take this seriously.
