Kind Of Productive Day

Hello Everyone:

A sort of productive day for me. The Internet at the Center was down, since Friday, so I decided to take care of other matters. First and foremost, getting a new coffee pot. The carafe on my drip coffeemaker broke, so I had to drink instant over the weekend. A little comparison shopping yielded a nice French press pot for a good price. Yeah. Then I went to the Apple Store where I hung out, updating the software on my phone and iPad. I still have to update a bunch of apps on the iPad but I'll get to that another day. While I was at the Apple Store, I eyed a couple of laptop configurations. A new laptop is something I badly need.  I want a laptop that I can take out of the box, set my preferences and go. What bothers me about the PC-based laptops is Office doesn't come pre-loaded. You have to buy it, unlike Apple laptops which come pre-loaded with iWorks (Apple's version of Office). Switching from Apple to PC is no big deal for me. Another need for me is a lightweight device. I checked out a MacBook Air and 12-inch iPad Pro are 2-3 pounds. Some of the PC-based laptops meet the requirement. Memory cache-wise they're compatible.  The only real difference is the price. Apple is more expensive but they are great products. Did you read that Tim Cook?  Hahaha. After I was done, I went home and finished watching a movie. So not too bad a day. Hopefully, tomorrow it'll be back to business as usual.
