Hello Everyone:
At last, sanity has returned. The panic and overwhelm that came with the sudden technical difficulties in the trusty laptop and the prospect of having to buy a new laptop gave way to calmness and order. What happened? What happened is I paid a visit to the Geniuses at the local Apple Store-big shout out to Vince-who took a look at my device. It turned out to be a possible software issue that can be fixed in the store. I still will need a new laptop, at some point, but not right now. Whew, that's a load off my mind. I can relax with the knowledge that I don't have to spend money I don't have. Even though that windfall money I got last year has come in handy but I still have to keep a tight reign on the cash. If I can avoid spending money, panic or otherwise, then all the better. I'm just relieved that I don't have to do anything rash. Although, applying a baseball bat to my laptop had crossed my mind. That's the nuclear option. I can still look at new laptops and wait for updated generations. So for now, I can relax and not worry about purchasing something in a panic. I never like to do anything in a high state of emotion. I can't think straight and end up with regrets. Good move. Never act out of emotion. Just learn to breath.
