Tuesday Ramblings

Hello Everyone:

I'm feeling better today.  All the water and meds seem to be helping.  I suppose in a few days I'll be all better.  Today, I'm in a mellow mood.  Everything seems so relaxed.  This woman just walked into my local coffee place wearing the tightest and lowest cut jeans I've ever seen and something I can only describe as a very high-cut leopard print bathing suit.  Why do people do that, wear clothing that is just so unflattering?  I'm not one to cover up head to toe so that no inch of flesh is visible but really, a high-cut one-piece bathing suit and super tight, low-cut jeans?  Is it laundry day?  Anyway, one of my San Jose friends sent me a link to a job opening for the National Public Radio.  The job seems right up my alley, blogging-in this case, blogging on education.  Who doesn't have an opinion on that subject?  The job is in Washington D.C. Or at least that what it says but it would be worth send a resume.  I'm still waiting to hear from a couple other places.  I try to be optimistic but sometimes it's hard.  So I just channel it all into writing.

This morning one of my friends and were briefly reminiscing about a concert we attended many years ago.  My friend follows Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, keeping tabs on the various members' side projects as well.  She heard that one of his guitar players was going to be at The Roxy in West Hollywood and could I please get tickets.  I obliged and off we went.  The concert was good and the encore was unbelievable.  Ringo Starr, yes that Ringo Starr jumped on stage for the encore.  To give you some sense,  The Roxy is a tiny place with standing room only, my friend and I were in the front.  We were literally THIS CLOSE to an actual Beatle.  Wow talk about a once-in-a-lifetime experience.  Let me tell you, this man does not age a bit.  Ringo is going to be 74 this year and Inswear he looks about 50-something.  I think he's got a plastic surgeon and a good hair stylist on speed dial.  That's something I love about the social media sites you can have a conversation with friends in other states (she's in Arizona) by just a few clicks.   Oh well time to eat.
