Good Day

Hello Everyone:

I'm having a fairly productive day on the blogs.  I just spent a good few hours writing my little heart out about some architecture and urban planning new year resolutions, complete with pictures.  In general it's been a pretty good day.  I'm beginning my transition to lacto-ovo vegetarianism.  I made the decision to go vegetarian after getting disgusted by the meat, fish, and poultry dishes I was eat.  Both the quality and the quantity was grossing me out.  It just got to a point where I couldn't stand to look at another plate of chicken.  Vegetarianism is something I've flirted with but never really made a commitment to doing.  I downloaded a couple of articles about the subject.  I want to reach this thoroughly.  There's so much to read and do.  I sometimes check out the cookbook section at the bookstores and the number of vegetarian recipe books out there is staggering.  I decided that veganism isn't for me.  Too restrictive.  Lacto-ovo vegetarianism seems more of a better fit because I two good sources of protein and calcium.  For now, I want to restrict my animal protein eating to once or twice a week.  The rest of the time, it'll be more plant, egg, and dairy based foods.  I'll keep you posted on the developments.

In the meantime, I have some good writing/editing job prospects to sift through.  They all so promising and most are freelance jobs.  The good about freelancing is that I can work from home and the bad is the pay is unsteady.  Another benefit is the exposure.  I suppose that's how a lot of writers and editors, who have steady jobs, got started.  I just have to be very diligent about my time management.  May be that'll be another goal for 2014, better time management for more writing.  It's odd, once I finished my thesis, I got lazy with my time.  I guess since the urgency to work was gone, I could be more lax.  If  had a purpose, I could be more structured with my time, especially if someone is paying me.  Definite motivation.  This needs a little more consideration, i.e checking out the prospects to see who they are.  Other job prospects are for more steady things like working in city governments.  At least those jobs offer benefits so I don't have to marry the bf just for his benefits (LOL).  Either way, I'm hoping to secure something soon.  Hey, the year is still young and who knows what'll happen.
