I'm spending two-hours of my Sunday listening to two of my city election officials and the PLB Residents Association annual back-slapping meeting. So far, the city attorney has made a re-election speech and finally talking about neighborhood issues. I can't "wait" to hear what my city councilman has to say. At least, I can catch up on my email and blog on. Right now, we're talking about the homeless. Some annoying needle nose geek told to it away the iPad because heaven forbid some one should get the impression that I'm recording this annual bout of self-congratulations. When's lunch. Later the auto club is coming by to fix my battery. The weekend, thus far, is going nicely. If I sound cranky, it's because I hate listening to campaign speeches and feel good talks. The head of resident services talk about his "perfect vision" for PLB and what a load of bollocks. Please , spare me the feel goodness and get things done. Some one mentioned the better vetting of prospective tenants. The person brought up the fact that there was a prostitution ring and drug dealer next door. Holy crap. We really don't our neighbors. Anyway, lunch is soon, so I'm going go back in
