Happy New Year

Hello Everyone:

Happy New Year.  I hope your enjoying however way you're celebrating.  Just remember to celebrate safely and sanely.  If had/have too much to drink, either have someone call a taxi or sleep it off at a friend's house.  The new year is a chance to look forward, turn the page as it were.  I like to think of it as a fresh start.  What happens over the past 365 days is done, cannot be changed.  No time for major regrets.  Now is the time for a whole new opportunity to things differently than the previous year. It's a time to try something new.  Some of the new things I'd to try or get back into are: surfing, knitting, crocheting, yoga (more regularly), swimming, and generally learning how to relax.  I don't want to say that these are resolutions because I hate making them.  For me, a resolution seems so concrete.  It's like you're setting yourself up for failure.  "If I don't____, then My year is shot."  Instead, I prefer to set goals, small goals.  Try to accomplish something more attainable like get a yoga DVD and do the poses two to three times a week.   Sometimes you just try for the heck of it.  So my suggestion to you is use the new calendar year as a way to do things differently than the previous year. Take a chance, be bold, be daring.

Happy New Year
