Preservation Rocks

Hello Everyone:

Hurray! We made to 2005.  How cool is that?  I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for letting me use this space to share my life with you.  I know I sometimes come off like a whiny, spoiled, selfish brat and for that, I do apologize and will try to work on it more.  I value this space because here is where I can work out whatever is on my mind at the moment.  Thus I value your patience and indulgence.  For all this and more, I am very grateful.

Yesterday evening was exciting.  As I told you, I went to a meeting of the West Hollywood City Council on behalf of Tower Records.  Specifically, there was an agenda item to appeal denial of landmark status to the venerable shop.  I was the first member of the public to speak.  My knees were knocking and I was shaking so hard, but I made it through.  I even got applause, rockstar.  I networked like a person on a mission.  A person on a mission to get a job.  The appeal was voted down but the fight ain't over until the wrecking ball shows up.  I love it.  Would you believe that I got approached by a documentary film producer during the break?  Someone is making a movie about Tower Records and asked me for permission to use my prepared statment.  How cool is that.  I love it.
