Day One
Hello Everyone:
First day on the new job and it's slow. In fact very quiet and I'm enjoying it. Hopefully, the quiet will continue for a while so I can do other things like look for a permenant job. This morning I submitted an application for an assistant editor opening at one of the local museums. I hope they write back to set up a time for an interview. I'm so looking forward to the day I can send back my work laptop. That'll be great. In the meantime, I have a job that's paying to essentially sit at home. No complaints on my part. Eventually the work'll pick up speed and, I'm hoping to be on to something else by then. For now, I'm still being tortured by Zoom calls. Okay it's for training purposes but really, I've had enough. I mean how long can a person talk? Outside of self-directed study periods and meal breaks, when do we get to be left alone? The supervisor is annoying me with the emails. I mostly mute the Zoom calls so I don't have to always listen to all the chatter. If I have something to say, I put it in the chat. Anyway, my big work accomplishment today was getting my tracer certificate. Pretty proud of that. Even Sis was impressed. So what does that mean? I can work as a COVID tracer. Anyway, I'm hungry and I need to make dinner for myself.
