In-House Tech Support

Hello Everyone:

A somewhat quiet start to the week.  I had a wee issue trying to cash a birthday check I got from my aunt in New York. The short story is I may need to go to a check cashing place.  In other news, I still haven't heard back about the job from the city.  I don't expect to hear anything for another week or more.  The second round of interviews just finished up last Thursday, HR has to do final background checks, and the panel(s) have to compare notes.  The only thing I can be satisfied with is the fact I gave it my best shot, the rest is up to the universe.  Anyway, tomorrow I have to go with mum to another appointment.  I so really hate doing that and I wish someone else would go with her.  The oldest nephew occasionally goes with her, when he has a hole in his schedule.  I so hope I get this job so I have a perfect reason not go with mum.  Speaking of mum, she recently got a tablet so she can read on a bigger surface and once again I have to play in-house tech support.  Trying to explain her how to use it or a smartphone is total exercise in frustration.  She doesn't want to attempt to try to use it herself and expects me to magically solve all the issues.  It's some cheap tablet that my sister found online and, surprisingly, its functional.  Anyway, it's time for dinner.
