Good Meeting

Hello Everyone:

The second interview is over, thank goodness. Naw, it actually went well and now I have to wait and see if I get the email I’ve waiting for. This round was similar to the first one: a writing and oral component. In each case, especially the oral portion,  I could tell that I was on the right track with my answers because I could see that the planners asking the questions seemed engaged. I made a point of demonstrating my understanding of some of the planning issues facing cities and how I would approach it.  I wanted to get across that take a more analytical approach and have the skills to back it up. There were a couple of “people” questions towards the end, more likely me how would you deal with your co-workers. Be civil and keep people in the loop. The bus ride there and back was mostly routine except for this obviously stoned homeless guy and his female companion who got on. The guy would not stop chattering for a single minute. Anyway, after the interview I walked over to one of my favorite places near City Hall—where the interview took place—to decompress. I sat there for a while exchanging messages with the Brit BF and texted me m with a status update. When I was ready, I got up and caught a bus home, stopping to get some much needed chocolate. I think all the adrenaline has finally worn off because I’m so tired. Alright that’s my cue to get some sleep.
